Being kind of a nomad all my life (26 years to be precise) I could not interact more with my community and people. But still I demand to know what had happened to the soul of Girok Bimal Sinha, why was he assassinated and why has there been no JUSTICE till date. Of the little I have heard of this great son of the BM community, I certainly believe he deserved to be in this world among us to see the Gen Next to walk in his footsteps. I don't know whether it was a conspiracy or hypocrisy, what I do know is that an able soul of our community has perished. Recently I heard my brother sharing a beautiful quote from Girok Binal himself. He said and I quote " Baba Bishnupriya Manipuri school ago thailos te mor sau agire Inafi-chakchabi piduaea aagdin oileu schoolgot diya bethailus (Please ignore the lack of perfection in my language)". This thought of his suggests how passionate he was about our BM society and culture. Talk..talk..talk.. everybody talk about him and his greatness but have we ever tried to follow the path he showed us. Certainly not!!! I am no different. You don't have to be a Martyr to bring a difference, it is the small small things that we do in our day-to-day life that matters.
CHANGE is the only truth a man can boast of. The time has come for us to change, change for the betterment, change for the upliftment, change to choose what is right for us and change to say "No" to the ideas and people that takes a step backward. If we can criticise we should also have the habit to praise. Why do we always discuss about the bad experiences, let us celebrate the beautiful things that has happened to our society and welcome the better things to come. Charity begins at home - and all charity should not necessarily please everybody.
