Bisnuprya Manipuri Nagrik Samiti, New Delhi anounces, the 141st birth centenary of SRI SRI BHUBHANESWAR SADHUTHAKUR to be celebrated on Sunday the 7th of November 2010, Reported by BMNS
 

It was certainly one of the finest day for all the Bishnupriya Manipuri community of Delhi where as there were classy arrangement of lunch  (veg though ) with full punch of cultural extravaganza.

Every individual had enjoyed till the last drop. The venue, the stage arrangement, food and catering… all were in perfect up market style, probably a BM organization can only wish for.
It is the celebration of the Abhirbhab Tithi of SRI SRI BHUBANESHWAR SADHU THAKUR  by Bishnupriya Manipuri Nagrik  Samiti , Delhi on 7th November , Sunday at Vivekananda Vihar opp IIT , SDA , New Delhi . on the very day BMNS also came up with the first Souvenir which has been designed and presented unlike any other BM magazines more like corporate brand magazine .

Let us go through the program in a sequential order in order to facilitate for the reader to understand the magnitude of the program.

VENUE:

An up market area , in one of the posh colony of south Delhi , strategically located and easy to reach from every corner of Delhi and NCR. A place which is already devoted to Swami Vivekananda .  Hence  the name of the venue is Vivekananda Vihar.

Location :  Opp IIT main gate. Safdurjang  Development Area , New Delhi 110 016.
Venue selection team : Mr Sashi Kant Singha , Brahmanand Sinha.( BN).

DECORATION:

The contract was given to one of the finest decorator of south Delhi who made it to look like a high profile marriage ceremony. Both the artist’s as well as the idol stage were the  center of attraction of the venue. The concept was conceived, designed and executed by Mr Hitashish Sinha and Brahmanand Sinha in consultation with Dr. Nirmalya Sinha. The over all ambience was just exemplary as there were flowers, carpets, decorative chairs and curtains in addition to many flex banners.

PUJA & ARATI :

Though there were few questions raised about the delay of puja  since the purohit could not turn up in time. Thanks to Sh Shibu Sharma who had performed the puja despite being un prepared for that. The ladies gathered has helped the puja arrangement like a typical BM puja where in ladies need not be invited to do the job. Specially to mention here the young ladies were in their late seventies who enthusiastically performed they are   Smt .Krishnakumari Sinha, Smt. Sunita Sinha and Smt  Chitra Sinha.

CULTURAL  EVENTS:

It was definitely the finest cultural event BMNS has ever had in Delhi. There were dances, music and quiz programs. Many prominent BM artists had graced the occasion with their immaculate performances. However there were several auditions took place prior to the selection of artists.

Dancers:

Vinita Sinha , an MA in Manipuri Dance from Rabindra Bharati University , Kolkata who already has performed in many parts of the country. She is a disciple of none other than Smt Kalabati Devi wife of Late Guru Bipin Sinha. Vinita performed “ Radhar Roop Bornona” solo and in a Meera Bhjan ballet. Just to mention the spectators could blink their eyes only after her performance was over. Incredible.

 Esha Sinha , a pioneer in Kathak Dance who in only in her early teens.. Esha has shown her class by her flawless performance.

Barnali Sinha,  despite being an animation designer by profession her passion and confidence in performing in the Meera  Bhajan ballet was highly commendable. Anamika Sinha,  the only performer from Tripura  , now the grand daughter in law of Late Shri Golap Sinha. She has performed flawlessly invited high applauds from spectators for her expressions and moves in the ballet.

Attires :  Traditional talafuti and inafi…

Singers :

Paritosh Sinha , a music teacher by profession who sang the inaugural song written and composed by himself on Sri Sadhu Thakur. He definitely created a spiritual ambience.

Arati Sinha, sang a song on BM traditions and cultures.

Mrs Rajashree Sinha, despite being in banking profession the energy and enthusiasm she shown was highly appreciable. She sang one of the finest Rassa song “ kalindi pulin bone kunjo bone sajore”..  She was accompanied with keyboard by none other than her husband Mr. Bimala prasad Sinha also a banker by profession.
There were unstoppable clappings  after their performance.

Hrishikesh Sinha ,  of the Mingal fame specially invited to Delhi for the event who has splendidly performed and rocked the ground with isalpa songs of “ Pocha Oja”  and also with songs from his released and unreleased albums. His own compositions like “ Monor Maloti,  Esade, Monor Yarri , Chei Chei and many others which people are still murmuring. Even the typical BM Bujons also started swinging to his tunes of Chei Chei.. Due to limitations of time Hrishi had to cut short his program.

BMNS is highly thankful to him for accepting the invitation and also wishes to have him in future celebrations.

** there were special refreshments for the artists sponsored by Mr Ananda Sinha and family from Guwahati.

QUIZ :      

There were cash prizes for the spectators for the quiz on Sri Sadhu Thakur’s life and philosophy. It was definitely a surprise and quite interesting package for the audience . everyone has enjoyed the program. The prizes were distributed  by two pretty young ladies Smt Krishna Kumari Sinha and Smt Sunita Sinha both are 75+.

FOOD :

This years quality and delicacies were the finest among all the celebrations BMNS had in Delhi including previous ones. The course included all the possible vegetarian delicacies we BM community wish for a major event like “ Sakeir Divas” or a great  bandara. Catering was given to one of reputed caterer of Chittaranjan Park, Delhi.

SOUVENIR :

It is the first ever Souvenir for BMNS as well as for BM diasporas. The idea of bringing a Souvenir was long pending for the samiti but finally with the encouragement form our Gen Secy Mr Sashi Kant Sinha, Brahmanand Sinha has delivered the project in time only to have a weeks time for collecting , editing, compilation, designing and printing. There are several valued articles which definitely makes the work a piece to be archived.

There are advertisers from various industries from Delhi and  Assam . BMNS is always indebted  to all those advertisers. The people instrumental to generate ads are Mr Bimala Prasad Sinha, Mr Sashi Kant Sinha, Mr Brahmanand Sinha and Mr Jishnu Sinha.

BMNS extends its thanks to Ms Babita Sinha, Mr Harilal Rajkumar, Mr Ranjit Sinha, Mr Bimala Prasad Sinha, Mr Jyotirmoy Sinha, Mr Shibu Sharma for presenting their valued articles and poems.
Also there are messages  from President and Gen Secy of BMNS apart from articles from Governing body members Dr Nirmalya Sinha, Brahmanand Sinha and Surajit Sinha.

The souvenir is unlike any other BM magazine , it was rather looking like a corporate brand magazine for its design and presentation.

The program started with inaugural address from President Dr Nirmalya Sinha and ended with Vote of Thanks by Gen Secy Mr Sashi Kant Sinha. Coordinated and presented by Brahmanand Sinha.
